Henderson Law Group represented an individual charged with abuse of a child, a class C felony, which carries with it the possibility of up to 7 years in prison. After extensive pretrial discovery and numerous depositions of witnesses, the state offered our client a very favorable plea deal after pretrial motions were argued 2 weeks before trial. Our client ultimately took a plea to the reduced charge of assault in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor, and was placed on 2 years SIS probation. Upon successful completion of probation, our client will not have a conviction on his record. NO JAIL, NO SUPERVISED PROBATION and NO CONVICTION.
