In 2012, Michael Daniels was charged with the death of his 37-year-old girlfriend, Jessica Brastow. Daniels was found not guilty; however, the State Bar has charged a San Francisco homicide prosecutor, Andrew Gnaz, with six counts of misconduct during the case, “including intentionally suppressing evidence and violating the defendant’s constitutional rights. If found culpable, he could face discipline ranging from probation or suspension to disbarment.”
