Mass Incarceration in the United States

Due to the “war on drugs,” incarceration rates in the U.S. have seen a dramatic spike since the 1970s.  In 1980, there were 300,000 people in jail and prisons in America. Today, there are 2.3 million people.  This disturbing trend must be stopped.
