July 31, 2013- A Fenton man has been charged with his third DWI, after police in Town and Country allegedly found him driving 120 miles per hour.
This man will face both a criminal case and an administrative case. The criminal case will determine the actual guilt or innocence of whether he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated or impaired. The administrative case will determine how this incident will affect his driving privileges.
Since this is his 3rd DWI offense he will face even stricter consequences. In Missouri, a 3rd DWI offense is classified as a Class D felony and is punishable by up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine. It will also result in a 10 year license denial. His previous DWIs came from 2006 and 2007. Police stated they observed what they believed to be the smell of alcohol and slurred speech.
