St. Charles, Missouri Synthetic Drug Bust

St. Charles, Missouri Synthetic Drug Bust | Missouri Criminal Attorney

In a day full of surprise checks, several stores in St. Charles, Missouri were targeted in a synthetic drug bust. Several stores were raided for allegedly selling synthetic drugs similar to bath salts. South 94 Bait, Tackle, and Smoke Shop was one of the stores that was targeted. “Retro Active” and “The Hookup” in Lake St. Louis were the two other shops allegedly carrying these illegal synthetic drugs. The investigation started after three different car accidents were supposedly caused by teenage individuals taking bath salts. It has yet to be determined what products, if any, are illegal. The Sheriff in charge of the raids has said he has collected evidence and will turn it over to the prosecutor for possible charges.

In raids such as this it is important to determine if the search was done in a constitutional manner. If not, any results of the search may be suppressed in court. Further, it should be determined which of these products are actually illegal. If arrested on possession of synthetic drugs such as bath salts, it is important to have an experienced criminal defense and drug crime lawyer on your side to make sure your rights are protected.
