MO Lawmakers Pass Bill Allowing STL Sheriff Deputies to Make Arrest

On Friday, May 11, 2018, Missouri lawmakers voted to expand St. Louis sheriff deputies jurisdiction. Previously, sheriff deputies were only allowed to enforce courtroom security, transport prisoners, and deliver summons. With this new law, sheriff deputies are offered the option of receiving a police officer certification.
