Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Felony Drug Possession

Henderson Law Group represented a man charged in St. Louis City Circuit Court with unlawful use of a weapon and drug possession. Shortly after we secured our client’s release from jail on a reduced bond and GPS tracking device, we filed a Motion to Suppress all physical evidence due to an illegal search and seizure by police in violation of our client’s constitutional rights. At the suppression hearing, the police officer testified that our client “appeared to be looking into cars and looked nervous” and therefore stopped and searched our client without his consent. We argued that the officer’s observations provided no basis to seize our client and subsequently search him. The court agreed and ruled that the gun and drug evidence would be suppressed. Case Dismissed.
